Do you remember your elementary school art classes? Maybe that’s just me, but I remember my mom coming into our class (she just so happens to be a great artist, graphic designer, and creative on the spot for just about anything! #mombrag) to teach us about complementary colors. We first learned what primary colors were, did some painting in our dad’s old shirts, and then the hard part… finding those colors that looked best with each other!

If you don’t remember, it all comes back to the color wheel. The color wheel shows all the colors of the rainbow in order. When you want to find a color that brings out the best in the other, you just look at those colors that are directly across from each other and bam! Perfect combinations are made. See, there really is something to the old saying that opposites attract!

Keeping that color wheel in mind when choosing the perfect outfit (complete with your glasses of course!) will help you to create a unique, stylish look in seconds. Our favorite go-to color combination is a bright orange with a fun pop of teal blue or navy. We love using these complementary colors to pair some fun blue frames with a bright orange top and finish the look off with jeans, naturally. There are so many possibilities to bring color to your outfits in this way and to make a fun statement with colors.
