NEW FRAME LINE ALERT! ECO
We are excited to announce our newest frame line to Spectacle, Eco! Eco stands for Earth Conscious Optics. And that is exactly what this company is all about! We wanted to take a moment to introduce you to all things Eco here...
Eco takes recycling to a whole new level with their frames. Each frame is made up of 95% recycled materials! Their biobased frames are made using castor seed oil making them lightweight, comfortable and sustainable. The castor seeds are broken down to castor oil and then turned into pellets, which accounts for the biggest part of these recycled frames. Even the metal that they use is almost entirely recycled as well!
Eco takes it one step further to ensure that not only the frames, but also the packaging align with their mission and goals. Each case and packaging minimize their carbon footprint by using recycled PET. Even the boxes that they use to ship to us are recycled paper! We love that Eco stands for recycling and demonstrates their commitment to this goal in everything that they do.
Another thing that we think is so cool about Eco is their clip ons! As you can see by the photo on the top of this page, each frame comes with a clip on sunglasses that completely transforms each frame into something entirely different and fun. They seamlessly help you to transition from inside to outside with a whole new look!
If you are familiar with our mission at Spectacle, we truly feel passionate about giving back in any way that we can. We love frames that help us to propel this mission forward. Eco helps us to give back to the earth with their one frame, one tree project. They work with Trees for the Future to plant a tree for every frame purchased. Thus far, they have helped to plant over 2 million and counting! We love this!!
