NEW FRAME LINE ALERT! JONAS PAUL EYEWEAR

We are beyond excited to announce our newest frame line at Spectacle. We truly believe that kids should look and feel their very best in their glasses, mainly so that they will want to keep them on!! We stumbled across Jonas Paul Eyewear and immediately fell in love with their story, their mission, and of course, their super cute frames! We wanted to give you a little insight into just why we love them…

Jonas was diagnosed at an early age with Peter’s Anomaly, which causes, among many other things, blurry vision. It is a disorder causing growths or malformations of the front part of the eye in development. Clouding of the cornea, clouding of the lens, and glaucoma are just some of the signs that can be seen as early as birth. Vision is significantly reduced if they see much at all. These little kiddos are in need of glasses from 2 years and on, if not earlier. In the case of Jonas, he had twenty-two surgeries at an early age and was able to maintain functional vision. What a blessing! Knowing he’d be in glasses indefinitely, Jonas’ parents wanted to make sure that he looked and felt good in them. It can often be challenging to find kid’s glasses without loud colors and characters on them, so they decided to create them specifically for Jonas. Talk about amazing parents!

With all that they have been through with Jonas’ story, Jonas Paul Eyewear makes it their mission to help prevent childhood blindness with each frame purchase. They have partnered with CBM, a Christian development organization, to help provide Vitamin A, access to hygiene, antibiotics, as well as exams and glasses to those that are in need. To date, they’ve now helped over 228,000 patients! If you’ve been around our doctors or in our optical, then you know that giving back is a huge goal and mission for us here at Spectacle as well! So we are so proud to have added another frame line that has a mission aligned with ours.
