NEW FRAME LINE ALERT! ORGREEN

With their attention to detail and color all while boasting a family-owned story, we are so honored to be bringing ORGREEN OPTICS to Spectacle Optometry! We can’t wait for you to fall for these amazing color combinations and incredible materials that make Orgreen THE up and coming frame line in the country. We met with Orgreen last week and not only learned more about this awesome company, but also hand selected the frames that are now on display in our office (they came in even quicker than we had imagined! Woohoo!). We wanted to give you a peek into the company, our impressions from our first meeting, and a preview of what you will see once you check out the new line for yourself at Spectacle!

THE STORY

In 1997, three friends (two of which are now married!) from Copenhagen decided to create Orgreen Optics. Their goal was to create timeless pieces with impeccable quality and craftsmanship. We think they nailed it! Since then, Orgreen has expanded to over 50 countries. While they have grown immensely, their attention detail has not been compromised one bit. Sahra Lysell (one of those three friends who started the company and the wife of Henrik Orgreen) focuses solely on color. She finds inspiration in the littlest things, like a candy wrapper or flower she sees, and takes that into the studios to replicate the color in each Orgreen frame. It can take weeks, months or even years to perfect these colors and some never even work out, but that doesn’t stop her from making sure the colors are perfection. The Danish design, precision, and culture of excellence is truly seen in their handcrafted acetate and titanium frames most made in Japan. We love a good family story, not to mention attention to detail!

THE FRAMES

Orgreen has a few lines, each with a different focus. We have decided to include their amazing acetates to show off the color combinations, the perfection and weightless feeling of the titanium line, as well as a more industrial vibe in the stainless steel frames. What we love, is that each line has it’s own unique features that we know so many different patients will be drawn to. If you need a nosepad, the titanium and stainless steel lines are definitely for you! The variety of styles in the metals are what we were most excited about. We haven’t had a line at Spectacle before with so many amazing metal models that will cater to both young, old, bold and subdued classic styles. We can’t wait for you to see what we see!

WHAT IS TO COME

We are excited to bring you a taste of Orgreen at Spectacle! Basically, we couldn’t decide on just one line and we can’t wait for you to fall in love with all the details of each line. We are looking forward to feedback of what our patients love so we can constantly bring new Orgreen models and lines to our shelves over the years to come that you are sure to love just as much as we do.
